Setting those New Year Goals

How are your goals for 2019 going?
Got them clear for yourself yet?
Lots of folks suggest doing the New Year goals at the end of the year before.
While I do like to be creating some lovely pictures of my New Year at the end of the old one, I tend to find the energy all wrong for focusing on “new” things, when all around me the year and its workload are all ending.
At this time, I’d much rather be looking back over the year that was, getting clear on the lessons learned and patting myself heartily on the back for how far I have come and what I have achieved. I feel like popping Champagne when I realise how much I have moved forward in life, and so fearlessly.

Setting those New Year goals

So now that its January, how about it then?
Let’s get setting your goals for the year shall we?
It doesn’t have to be dreary or serious. Indeed not at all!
My clients and I always have fun doing goals. And why wouldn’t it be fun?
Afterall, we are creating the pictures, glorious glossy pictures with the perfect colours and sparkliness for you. The perfect soundtrack plays alongside these perfect pictures and the feeling – boy! You simply cannot beat the feeling of getting in touch with your goals. You can almost reach out and grab them!

The key element for success

And other than your total commitment to your success, this is probably the key element in our goal setting process – getting really, really real.
You would be surprised at how many of my clients are turning themselves inside out trying to get somewhere or something, but when we work together, they make the hilarious and slightly shocking realisation that they actually have no idea where they are going or what it is they are chasing so hard. What does it look like? No idea
What will it feel like when you get it? I don’t know.
It is so much easier to do our day-to-day when we have a clear idea of where we are going isn’t it?
You know? What it is all for.
He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.
~ Friedrich Nietzsche.

And we can can’t we?
When we know and understand the why, all the rest is fine and dandy. It makes sense. It’s ok.
So what’s your why?
What’s your what for that matter?
Where is it that you are rushing to get to in all that hurry and busy-ness?
Not sure?
